Family Day: A Heartfelt Tradition Woven into the Fabric of Atlantic
This event brings employees and their families together to connect, celebrate, and create lasting memories — featuring everything from an endless variety of food and exciting carnival games to music, entertainment, and raffles offering incredible prizes. There is truly something for every age and interest, making it a day that reflects our culture of one family here at Atlantic.
Family Day is more than just a fun gathering—it’s Atlantic’s heartfelt way of saying, “thank you.” It’s a day dedicated to recognizing the relentless hard work and dedication of every employee, while also offering a chance to share that pride with loved ones. As families meet coworkers and experience the camaraderie firsthand, they gain a glimpse into the passion and purpose that drives our team every day. Over the years, we’ve seen growing families return time and time again, turning this event into a cherished tradition—and perhaps even planting the seed for the next generation to carry the Atlantic legacy forward.
Bill Cooper and Corie Doane spend their Fall tirelessly planning and organizing Family Day each year, and they never fail to pull off an event that outshines the last. As Corie shares, “More than just a day of fun, Family Day reflects our commitment to building a strong, inclusive culture where people feel valued and connected. It’s a chance for employees to relax, unwind, and share meaningful moments with their colleagues and loved ones.”
This year’s celebration did just that — and more. Marking the sixth Family Day since the annual celebration began in 2018, this year’s event drew Atlantic’s largest and liveliest crowd yet—around 650 attendees, all within Atlantic’s expansive HQ2 building.
Reflecting on the day, Bill Cooper shared that this year’s success came down to a few key factors. “We were blessed with awesome weather! As the principal planners, Corie and I always try to incorporate feedback from the previous year. We also made it a point to put HR front and center this time, which made a big impact as guests entered the space.” He also emphasized that none of it would have been possible without the support of so many dedicated team members. “We owe a special shoutout to Stuart Davis, Jamie Liggon, Roscoe Kanode, Justin Hamm, Susan Asbury, Eddie Williams, Nan Kerner, Kelly Adams, Cristina Agudelo, Mandy Gathright, Katlyn Lamm, Christal Daulton, Cannan Keller, and Jennifer Etka.” Thank you to everyone who put in extra effort to ensure that the day was the best it could be. Family Day continues to grow, and we are so proud to see Atlantic become bigger, stronger, and more connected each year.
