Project Description

Atlantic Constructors was selected as Construction Manager for this design build operational infrastructure project in support of US Smokeless Tobacco’s relocation to Richmond, Virginia. This project was a quick 6 months from start of engineering to completion of the space so that it was ready for installation of production lines.

While several tasks were subcontracted, Atlantic Constructors was construction manager and also performed the civil work, steel fabrication and erection, piping fabrication and installation, plumbing and HVAC scopes of work.

The project included miscellaneous enhancements along with electrical, steam, air, water, fire protection and alarm system upgrades. A new 1,500 SF operational specific room was constructed fast-track and another operational room was modified for change of use with demanding technical specifications. We also performed modifications to the space such as demolition, raising the ceiling, installing rapid operating roll up doors between bays, foundation isolation blocks, racking and ceiling grid work.
